About the commisions

What is your creative journey? Where did you come from and where are you going? Where are you now and how did you get here? Who inspired you?

lanaire aderemi productions are looking for imaginative and interdisciplinary work from Black artists to be showcased as part of story story festival from the 5th-7th February.

We want to hear about unique creative journeys and are inviting artists to watch the trailer of ‘an evening with verse writer: a documentary by lanaire aderemi’ and send in their ideas on how they might create an artistic response to the theme of ‘creative journeys’. We’re looking to commission 4 brand new pieces of work which will be platformed as part of the festival.

Successful artists will receive:

– £300 micro-commission

– An opportunity to have their work platformed in the festival and featured on the story story festival website and social media pages

– A 1-1 consultancy session post-festival with motherSun (a creative agency and studio dedicated to developing communities and encouraging lateral networking amongst emerging artists).

Eligibility

– This commission is open to Black artists, aged 18 and above

– If the work is visual/auditory, the duration must be between 2-5 minutes.
